Paintings from digital images #5

IMG_1499

One cool day in April my wife decided to have a short run on a Lake Michigan beach we were visiting. As she went I photographed her with my phone. The photo I decided to use for this painting was printed on a thermal printer, scanned, enlarged and printed again for reference. The image reminded me of a movie still, so the 12″ x 24″ painting has black bands at the top and bottom to underscore that it is in the current common cinema widescreen ratio of 2.35:1.

The panel as with the others in this series are painted in oils on a wood panel. You can see more from this series and other work on my website, amrfineart.com.
